& Governance

Britannia Youth Organisation is led by a committed, skilled, and community-embedded leadership team.

BYO is run by professionals and volunteers who care deeply about this community. Some of us are directors, some are hands-on facilitators, but we're all here for the same reason: to give young people the support, guidance, and opportunities they deserve.

Leadership

The Governor

Hassan Kingsley

Hassan founded BYO in the Spring of 2020 with a vision to create consistent, high-quality youth provision in the City of Birmingham. As Governor, he oversees the organisation’s strategic direction while remaining closely involved in day-to-day programme delivery.

His approach combines hands-on youth work with strategic leadership, ensuring BYO stays true to its mission of building confidence, skills, and aspiration in young people. Hassan’s commitment to consistency and quality has made BYO a trusted and valued presence in the community.

In his spare time, Hassan enjoys trekking across national parks in Britain, has a keen interest in the financial markets, and is currently studying Chinese!
